In the geographic center of Bulgaria, the region around Kazanlak has been inhabited for thousands of years. Traces of civilization go as far back as 2,000 BC. Known as Valley of the Thracian Kings with Kazanlak - the capital city, it has countless cultural treasures.

The Kazanluk Thracian tomb (4th century BC) is an UNESCO cultural site because of its architecture and especially of its painting.

The Archeological Museum and the Art Gallery are located in one and the same building. The most impressive exposition is the finds of Seuthopolis (4th century BC) - the ancient Thracian city (today's Kazanluk), and of some of the Thracian tombs in the Valley of the Thracian Kings. The Art Gallery exhibits 17-19th century works.

The Ethnographic Museum gives an idea of the life in the 19th century. The architecture and the house arrangement are typical for the sub-balkan region. Here you may try jam of roses. Food and drinks are also offered.
